Mr. King has proclaimed that we shall go.
I will miss my children, though I know they will be well tended.
I enter the room where my armor is kept and survey the options. Heavy metal will be best, as my opposition will be fierce. But first, the under layers: silk and leather.
I ply my face with warpaint and slip my family crest medallion over my head, careful not to jostle my hair.
Mr. King tells me that the Coach is downstairs. I run and fetch the purse.
I don’t want to be late to the cocktail party.
